Genre: Um...
Rating: All the people of all the ages!
Warnings: Swear words? Not suitable for consumption.

Author's Note: Enjoy! This is based off of the game ‘Resident Evil 4’ which is super mega awesome.

I walk up the path leading to the village. The only sounds I hear are that of the wind in the practically dead trees. Then I hear a whimpering, it sounds like an animal. As I walk further I see a grey wolf with its leg stuck in a bear trap. I run over and help it out. Once it escapes, it shakes its leg and runs off.

“Ungrateful sod…” I mutter.

I continue walking, keeping an eye out for anymore hostile villagers. I notice a small wooden shed and I walk around the door, but I soon walk out again. A woman is pinned to the wall by a pitchfork through her head. No sexism going on around here then. I reach the top of the slope the path runs up, and I hide behind a tree. Ahead of me is what seems to be the main village. There are wooden houses, a small barn, a tower, what looks like a church, some cows and chickens and the villagers working. There are no children though, should I find that strange? One thing catches my eye though. In the center of all of this there is a large fire. In the middle of it is what looks like a wooden pole, with a large hook probably from a large crane on the top. I see that on the hook a body has been impaled, the hook going through their chest. These locals seem…nice and civil. This wouldn’t bother me too much, but I notice certain things about the body. Their hair is in a sort of quiff, and there are weird black goggles resting on their forehead. Under the jacket I notice a green shirt, with what looks like the green lantern symbol on it. It all looks so familiar. I grab my binoculars from my belt and look through them. I zoom in on the body that has been impaled on the hook. I take a glimpse of the face and I gasp. It’s Liam.  No…two deaths of people I know already.  His head hangs limp slightly to the side. The hook as literally pierced the center of his being. I put my binoculars away, my hand shaking. I take a deep breath and take my handgun out again. I walk out from behind the tree and begin to walk over to the village. One of the men notices me.

¡Agárrenlo!” He yells, pointing at me.

The villagers stop what they are doing and start to run towards me. Some of the men working in the barn carry pitchforks, and some have pickaxes. There are about twenty, maybe more of them, including about nine women. As they get closer, I decide to put away my handgun and take out my shotgun. I pump the shotgun and as one of the women reach me.

“¡Os voy a romper a pedazos!” She screeches. (I’m gonna tear you to pieces!)

I aim the shotgun at her head and fire. Her head turns into an explosion of blood, flesh and skull. I try not to dwell on what I’ve done right now, because I know there will be an inevitable wave of guilt. I pump the shotgun again and continue with eliminating them. I kill eleven more, but there seem to be more coming. They’re cornering me and I need to reload, but they are close enough that I won’t be able to reload in time. I could get my handgun, but there are too many too close together. I’ve failed already failed, my first mission and I’ve failed.

“I’m sorry Dean…” I whisper, excepting my fate.

Then there is the sound of church bells ringing. The villagers stop and look towards the church. They all mutter something’s like ‘la campana’ (the bell), ‘es hora de rezar’ (it’s time to pray), and ‘tenemos que irnos’ (we’ve got to go), and they just stand there. After about twenty seconds or so they all drop their weapons and go and walk to the church, going through the door. The last villager walks through, mumbling what I make out to be ‘Lord Saddler’ and then the door slams shut. There is nothing but silence. I breathe a sigh of relief and run to the centre of the village, looking at the church in utter confusion, and then around the small village. There is no one else outside but me.

“Where’s everyone going, bingo?” I mutter.

I shake my head and go and have a look around. I walk past the fire and stop, looking at Liam. He would look so peaceful if he didn’t have that fucking hook through the centre of his chest and the fire burning him. I can’t let the poor guy burn, even if he’s dead. I see a bucket nearby, with a trough of water next to it. I take the bucket and fill it with water, pouring it over the fire. Six and a half buckets of water later and the fire is it. I throw the bucket aside and walk over next to the wooden pole, the burnt wood is cool enough to walk on. I carefully take a hold of Liam, and tug him off of the hook. There is the disturbing sound of flesh, bone and organs scraping along the metal of the hook. I finally get him off, and lay him on the ground. He was such a nice guy, he didn’t deserve this disturbing fate, Pewds didn’t deserve the early end of his story either. I call Carrie and tell her to bring helicopters to retrieve the bodies, and before she can reply I disconnect. I guess I should look around. I get up and leave Liam. I look around the houses. I find some ammo, herbs, a spinel and some gold. I pick the spinel and the gold up, even though I have no use for them. Fifteen minutes later and I’ve checked all the houses, so I go over to the tower. There’s a ladder leading up to the top, so I quickly climb up. I reach the top, and I see a man in the corner looking out of the tower. He’s wearing a blue jumper, decorated with yellow ducks holding umbrellas and he has brown hair. I recognise that from somewhere…

“Put your hands up!” I yell, pulling out my handgun and aiming it at the man.

“AH WHAT THE BITCH!” He yells and turns around, his hands in the air and fear in his face. I lower my gun.

“Bing?” I say in disbelief.

“Oh, hey Jack.” He says, lowering his arms.

“What the fuck are you doing here!?” I ask.

“That’s not important, but what are you doing here?”

“I’m looking for the Prime Minister’s missing nephew.”

“Does he have chin length brown hair?”

“Yeah…”

“Brown eyes?”

“Yes…”

“Is he short?”

“From what I gather, yes. How do you know?”
“Funny story actually-“

“Bing for the love of God just tell me, or I’ll shoot you in the foot.”

“OK, OK. I’ve seen him around.”

“Really?”

“Yep.”

“I guess that’s good news then.” I turn to walk away, before Bing says something.

“Please can I come with you? I don’t want to be left alone. Please.”

“Sure, but try not to get killed. I’ve already seen two good people die today.”

“Right, try to not die, got it. To be honest I like not being dead.”

I jump down to the ground below, the ladder would take too much time. Yet Bing still decides to use it. He jumps off of the last step and we nod at each other, before walking out of the small village. I now have a greater hope of finding Dean, the missing boy who I already feel a great fondness for.
